Peter Ocean Media — Digital studio
Websites that hold up under scrutiny.
I’m Peter. I design and build websites for founder-led businesses, automate the work behind them, and make sure both search engines and AI assistants can describe what you do. Same person from the first wireframe to the last deploy.

What I do
Three jobs, one operator.
Most businesses don't need three vendors. They need one person who understands how the site, the systems behind it, and the way people find it all affect each other.
Does it work?
A site that's fast, accessible, and maintainable — then the workflows behind it, so quoting, intake, scheduling, and follow-up stop eating your week.
Be found
Can anyone find it?
Classic search still matters. But a growing share of buyers now get an answer instead of a list of links. I structure your content and markup so both a crawler and a language model can state, accurately, what you do and who you do it for.
Does it look like the real thing?
Licensed drone work for property, coastline, construction, and brand film. Usually the fastest way to make a small business look like the operation it already is.
Selected work
Recent projects.
Case studies covering the build, the systems, and the visibility work — plus the aerial pieces.
How this goes
Four steps. No surprises.
The same sequence on every project, whether it's a five-page site or a systems rebuild.
Scope
A call and a written scope. Fixed price, fixed deliverables, agreed before anything starts.
Design
Real content in a real layout, reviewed in the browser at the widths your customers actually use — not a PDF of a mockup.
Build
Built to the scope, deployed to the edge, tested on real devices. You see it working before it goes live.
Handoff
You own the repository, the domain, and the accounts. Training if you want it, maintenance if you'd rather not.
AI search visibility
When someone asks an AI about your industry, what does it say?
Answer engines don’t rank ten links. They compose a response and cite a handful of sources. Getting into that response is a structural problem, not a keyword problem — the model has to retrieve your content, parse what your business is, and trust it enough to repeat it.
What that involves
- 01Write pages that answer real questions in a form a model can quote
- 02Mark up entities, services, and offerings so machines read your business without guessing
- 03Fix the crawl and render path, so your content is retrievable in the first place
- 04Build the citation surface — the third-party pages a model checks before it trusts you
- 05Measure it: capture what the major assistants say about you now, and whether that changes
Aerial
The same eye, pointed at a camera.
I shoot aerial stills and video for the same reason I care about type and grid: composition is composition. Property and coastline work, brand film, and the kind of establishing shot that makes a small operation read as serious.
Showreel — replace with the cut once it’s graded.
Who you're working with
You'll be talking to the person doing the work.
No account manager, no offshore build team, no handoff to someone who wasn’t on the call. That’s the whole model — it’s why the work stays consistent, and why I take a limited number of projects at a time.
It also means you get straight answers. If a project isn’t a good fit, or a cheaper approach would get you most of the way, I’ll say so before you spend anything.

Questions
The ones that come up first.
What does a website from you cost?
Most small business sites land between a few thousand and the low five figures, depending on page count, how much content needs writing, and whether there are systems to integrate. You get a fixed price in writing before anything starts — I don't work on open-ended hourly arrangements for defined projects.
How long does a build take?
A straightforward marketing site is typically four to eight weeks from scope to launch. The variable is almost never the build — it's how quickly content, photography, and feedback come back. Projects that stall, stall on content.
What's the difference between SEO and AI search visibility?
Conventional SEO is about ranking in a list of links. AI search visibility is about being retrieved, understood, and cited when an assistant composes an answer instead of showing a list. The technical foundations overlap heavily — speed, crawlability, clean markup — but the content work differs: answer engines reward pages that state clear, specific, verifiable claims rather than pages optimized around keyword density.
Do you work with businesses outside your area?
Yes. Design, development, automation, and search work are done remotely and always have been — location makes no difference to any of them. Aerial photography and video are the exception, since those require me to physically be there; get in touch with the location and I'll tell you whether it's workable.
Can I hire you for drone work only?
Yes. Aerial photography and video are standalone services and a good portion of that work has nothing to do with websites. You don't need to be a web client to book a shoot.
What happens after launch — do I need a retainer?
No. You own the repository, the domain, and the hosting accounts outright, and the sites I build are static, so there's no plugin treadmill to maintain. Some clients want ongoing content, SEO, or feature work and keep a monthly arrangement; plenty of others take the handover, get a walkthrough, and manage it themselves. Both are fine.
